Next to St Peter, in the heart of Rome, there has been an established reality in the culinary scene of the capital for more than 50 years as a reference point for lovers of alpine flavors: the Cantina Tirolese. The family-run restaurant has been handing down it’s recipes for three generations and continues its history without ever departing from the traditions of its homeland: Austria. A tradition that lives and renews itself. The restaurant, furnished in the style and atmosphere typical of the Bavarian tavern, is spread over two floors. The upper floor, made up of reserved tables, while the larger lower room hosts in the center the table dedicated to Pope Ratzinger, our illustrious customer.
