A stone’s throw from St. Peter’s, the restaurant has 85 seats on two floors, furnished in the typical style of a Bavarian tavern. The kitchen uses products grown in the crystalline air of Trentino Alto Adige, Tyrol and Carinthia, purchased directly on site from our environmentally friendly, animal friendly and certified suppliers. Cantina Tirolese, in Rome, is the only gastronomic reality able to offer traditional and genuine Austrian cuisine, accompanied by the best draft beer.
We offer the typical dishes of Tyrolean and Bavarian cuisine, in fact you can taste the Canederli, the Goulash, the pork shank, the cheese fondue and the fondue Bourguignonne, accompanied by the best draft beer. Prosit! The cellar also presents a selection of wines and
grappas representative of the territory.
Gherti, from Austria, and Roberto, from Rome, started the “Cantina Tirolese” on 23 September 1971. Since then our story has continued, amidst fashions and new trends.
Discretion, confidentiality and the quality of raw materials have continued to characterize the work of the Macher family. A tradition handed down for three generations now.
Tradition is not just food, in fact the Tyrolean Winery pays particular attention to festivals and celebrations of popular origin that we love to celebrate with dedicated events at our restaurant: In particular, the Oktoberfest, the Munich beer festival, and the Krampus, ancient Tyrolean tradition.
