Oktoberfest

The history of Oktoberfest has its roots in the distant 12 October 1810. That day the marriage between the Bavarian prince Ludwig and Therese of Saxony was celebrated. The celebrations for the wedding, which lasted five days, were extended to all the inhabitants of
Bavaria, took place in what was then simply a meadow (Wiese) on the outskirts of the city.

The celebrations were so successful that the following year they were repeated, and that lawn was renamed “Theresienwiese” in honor of the bride. Oktoberfest had effectively become a traditional event. At the Cantina Tirolese we celebrate the beer festival with a special menu every Thursday in October.

Krampus

The Krampus are typical cultural manifestations of the German-speaking Alps. In the myth the Krampus who are devils, would represent the real and metaphorical darkness in contrast with the light, the good, represented by St. Nicholas, that is Santa Claus. The Tyrolean Winery in Rome celebrates this important anniversary and awaits you every year in December for lunch and dinner with a special Krampus buffet!
